About us

Tea in 60 is a social enterprise, comprising of a community of thriving Zimbabwean women seeking to create a diverse, culture rich STEM environment by inspiring Zimbabwean girls and women to realize the endless possibilities in the field.

We are a community of powerful women dedicated in helping young girls with STEM related mentorship.

Why are we here?

Women are half of the world’s population, yet globally they constitute only 28% in STEM fields. While statistics show that the number of women in STEM is growing, the gender gap is still quite wide, especially at the upper levels of these professions. We need more women to take up, remain and thrive in STEM in Zimbabwe. Increased participation enhances women’s economic security and ensures a diverse and talented STEM workforce, and prevents biases in these fields and the products and services they produce.

Tea in 60 is for women starting a career in STEM. Tea in 60 is for girls and women in STEM. Tea in 60 is for  women running STEM related  businesses. Tea in 60 is for girls and women studying and interested in STEM.
